THE MODEL
The 2021 Shelby GT500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack edition is a huge leap in Ford high performance cars. Powered by the mighty 5.2L Cross Plane Crank V8 "Predator" with 760HP, 625 lb-ft torque and a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
This is the first year that the $18,500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack option is available, which includes 20" carbon fiber wheels, along with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, Recaro seats, a GT4 rear wing, adjustable strut top mounts and a host of other weight saving changes. Car and Driver, in their "Lighting Lap", found it faster than a Porsche Cayman GT4 and a Lamborhigni Huracan Evo.
THE CAR
This particular car has been ordered with the Carbon Fiber Track Pack, an $18,500 option that includes 20" Carbon Fiber wheels, adjustable strut top mounts, rear seat delete, Recaro leather trimmed seats and more. It also has the $3000 technology package including a Bang & Olufsen 12 speaker sound system and voice activated touchscreen navigation.
It also came from the factory without stripes (the current stripes are vinyl and could easily be removed) a rare option.
The car has only 2200 miles and still has that new car smell. With an original MSRP of $96k, this is one hell of an snake!
