THE MODEL
The 2019 911 Speedster is the limited-run (1,948 units) swan song of the 991 generation — a purist, open-top GT car that blends Porsche heritage with GT-department hardware. It uses the 500+ hp naturally aspirated 4.0-litre GT3 engine, revving to 9,000 rpm, paired exclusively with a six-speed manual. Weight reduction is central: carbon-fibre front fenders, hood, and signature double-bubble rear deck, a manually operated lightweight top, and pared-back interior with fabric door pulls. The chassis borrows heavily from the GT3, including rear-axle steering, adaptive dampers, PCCB brakes, and center-lock wheels.
Its character is defined by analog engagement rather than outright numbers: an exceptionally responsive engine, communicative steering, and a visceral open-air experience. The Speedster stands as a collectible and a driver’s car — the final naturally aspirated, manual-only hero model of the 991 era, celebrating Porsche’s Speedster lineage while delivering modern GT-level precision.
THE CAR
We believe this is the only 911 Speedster in Paint-to-Sample Meissen Blue, a famous Porsche 356 color. With an original MSRP of $361,915, it included $52,685 in special wishes interior appointments. WIth only 100 miles on the odometer, this is literally a 'new' 2019 Speedster.
