THE MODEL

The 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia marked a paradigm shift in Maranello’s V8 lineage, replacing the F430 with a machine that was more refined, technologically advanced, and emotionally engaging. Penned by Pininfarina with input from Ferrari’s F1 team, the 458’s design is not only aerodynamically purposeful—featuring deformable winglets in the front grille and a sculpted rear diffuser—but also an aesthetic benchmark.

At its heart lies the naturally aspirated 4.5L F136 V8, delivering 562 hp at a spine-tingling 9,000 rpm and 398 lb-ft at 6,000 rpm. It was Ferrari's first mid-engined V8 road car to ditch the gated manual entirely, instead offering a 7-speed dual-clutch Getrag transmission—lightning-quick and intuitive. 0–60 mph comes in around 3.3 seconds, with a top speed north of 202 mph.

What sets the 458 apart is its integration of cutting-edge electronics—E-Diff3, F1-Trac, and magnetorheological dampers—all calibrated for seamless interplay. Steering is razor-sharp, almost telepathic, and the car's balance dances on the edge of oversteer with an astounding level of control and feedback.

The 458 Italia is often viewed as the last "analogue-feel" Ferrari before turbocharging and hybridization began redefining the breed. For purists, it's a high watermark—raw yet sophisticated, visceral yet accessible.

THE CAR

This 458 was first sold in March 2011 from Ferrari of Ft. Lauderdale with an MSRP of over $280k. The late husband of our client purchased the car in 2017 from Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale with under 6k miles and brought it out to California where it has been serviced by Ferrari of San Francisco ever since. They used this car for fun drives in the wine country and participated in several multi-day Northern California charity rallies.

With only 17k miles on the clock, this Ferrari 458 is in amazing condition. It has a clean CarFax and Ferrari of San Francisco performed an annual service and replaced the battery in preparation for the sale. It’s a gorgeous spec in Rosso Corsa with the Beige leather interior. Our client’s husband added the very cool Capristo Remote Exhaust Controller, opening the baffles and significantly changing the exhaust note on the fly. A nice addition that makes a world of difference when you’re driving in your neighborhood or opening it up on the backroads.
