THE MODEL

The SL line started with the famous 300SL Gullwing and Roadster along with their little brother the 190 and continues to today.  The SL designation stands for 'Super Leicht".  The R230 line began in 2001 ranging from the 280 up to the 65 AMG. The designo launch edition was an exclusive package offered with a special paint color, designo trim package, DVD navigation and more.  

THE CAR

This 52k mile SL500 Designo is going to be appearing on Bring a Trailer at NO RESERVE!  This means that the highest bidder will be taking it home with them! 

Note: This SL500 has been upgraded with Apple CarPlay and a microphone.  Bringing it's communications and entertainment system up to today's standards.  

This 2003 Mercedes Benz SL500 is shod in it's unique Design SilberMet paint job with lovely leather interior.  It is a lifetime California car.  The current owner has a German mechanic shop and has been servicing this for his customers since it was new!  He purchased it in 2021 from his customer while another car was undergoing an engine rebuild.  That car is now ready and he is moving this SL500 along to the highest bidder!  We have all service invoices since new and the normal trouble spots on these cars, the trunk and suspension, have all been addressed.  It has just been serviced and past a smog test in April.  All the new owner needs to do is enjoy the car!

It also comes with the very cool rear parcel shelf fitted luggage that clips into the interior of the car.  A brand new car cover, never unboxed, also comes with the car.
