THE MODEL

The 1997 Porsche 993 C4S, is the last of the aircooled 911s and the most refined of the aircooled line in terms of power, performance and handling. The "C4S" designation signifies its all-wheel-drive configuration, enhancing traction and stability.

Powered by a rear-mounted 3.6-liter flat-six engine, the 993 C4S delivers a thrilling driving experience, with its distinctive air-cooled sound and robust performance. The design features widened rear fenders borrowed from the Turbo model and a distinctive rear reflector strip. The interior showcases meticulous craftsmanship and driver-centric ergonomics. With its timeless design, dynamic capabilities, and limited production numbers, the 1997 Porsche 993 C4S stands as a sought-after classic among automotive enthusiasts, symbolizing an era of Porsche excellence.

THE CAR

This is a one-owner lifetime California car, with only 72k miles and a clean carfax.  The owner, now a well known Porsche and BMW track instructor, used the car for road trips as well as open track days.   They modified the car to maximize it's performance on the track without sacrificing driveablity or comfort.  Meticulously maintained by S CarGo, we have a mountain of receipts from new. The car and driver were the PCA Regional Time Trial Champion in 2000. It has also set regional class records at tracks including Sonoma, Laguna, Buttonwillow and Thunderhill.

The car was 'retired' from track duty in 2017 and the owner treated the car to an engine rebuild as well as clutch change and new tires, that was approximately 2000 miles ago.  This car presents as perhaps one of the best 'driver' 993 C4S available.  In excellent shape and with a new clutch and engine, this 993 is ready for a long, fun life with the new owner.

The original Twist wheels, a full set of 993 workshop catalogs along with other random parts and a car cover come with the car.
