THE MODEL

The 1995 Acura NSX-T marked a pivotal refinement in Honda's flagship sports car, introducing a removable targa-style roof to the mid-engine platform while maintaining structural integrity and dynamic poise. The NSX-T replaced the fixed-roof coupe in the U.S. market, utilizing reinforced chassis components to counteract the reduced torsional rigidity, though at the cost of a modest increase in curb weight (~100 lbs).

Powertrain remained the C30A — a 3.0L DOHC VTEC V6, aluminum block and heads, titanium connecting rods, and an 8,000 rpm redline — producing 270 hp (manual) or 252 hp (automatic). It drove the rear wheels via a close-ratio 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. Manual models retained the helical limited-slip differential and the fly-by-wire throttle system introduced in 1991.

Suspension geometry stayed double wishbone at all corners, with forged aluminum control arms and uprights. Steering was hydraulic-assisted (manual) or electric-assisted (automatic). The NSX-T featured a recalibrated suspension tune — marginally softer to complement its more GT-oriented repositioning.

The NSX’s all-aluminum monocoque and body panels — a world-first in mass production — remained a defining feature, keeping weight under 3,200 lbs. Braking was handled by 4-wheel ventilated discs with 4-channel ABS. The Targa model also introduced new forged 7-spoke wheels and subtle cosmetic updates.

While the NSX-T sacrificed some structural sharpness versus the coupe, it preserved the car’s hallmark balance, precision, and reliability, reinforcing Honda’s engineering prowess in a segment dominated by European exotica.

THE CAR

Our client has owned this ultra-rare Midnight Pearl NSX-T for over 21 years.  They've driven AND pampered it.  It now has 94k miles on the clock and has been looked after by Marin Acura during their stewardship.  Crucially, this car has the 5-speed manual gearbox.

It's equipment includes staggered-diameter 16” and 17” aluminum wheels, a limited-slip differential, a removable body-color roof panel, pop-up headlights, power-adjustable seats, an aftermarket exhaust system, automatic climate control, cruise control, an Alpine CD changer, and a Bose sound system.
