1991 ACURA NSX

THE MODEL

NSX = New Sportscar eXperimental! Made by Honda and sold under the Acura name in the US.  The NSX concept goes all the way back to 1984.  Honda wanted to build a car that could exceed the performance of a Ferrari 328, it was supposed to be a simple car that would be easy to drive.

THIS CAR

This car is a lifetime San Francisco Bay Area NSX, having been purchased from Marin Acura on 7/18/1991.  The first owner had it for almost 2 years and put 11,000 miles on it.  The current owner purchased it on 6/11/1993.  It is one of only 404 NSX's in this particular color combination, only 276 of which were made in 1991.

The owner has turned this NSX into the enthusiast's dream NSX.  With years of research, trips to Japan and a background in driving on race tracks, he modified the car to maximize the performance of the car as well as rebadging it to the Japanese spec Honda badging.  (Note: All original parts have been kept and accompany the car, along with an extra set of 1997 NSX 7-spoke wheels and an ultra-rare Michael Clo NSX branded luggage set.
