THE MODEL 

The 1974 BMW 2002 stands as an iconic example of automotive engineering from the early 1970s. This compact, sporty car epitomizes the brand's commitment to producing driver-focused vehicles.

The 2002 featured a lively 2.0-liter inline-four engine, delivering a spirited driving experience. Its distinctive boxy design and distinctive round headlights gave it a timeless, almost vintage charm. The 2002 was celebrated for its precise handling, making it a favorite among enthusiasts and competitive racers alike. THE CAR

This is quite the little hot rod 2002! It had been a lifelong goal of the current owner to create a modified 2002 hot rod. Our client found this non-running project in 2009 in San Jose. Over the course of the next 8 years, they would begin a hunt for parts for this build. Many of the parts were found from fellow enthusiasts from all over the world. Basically everything was replaced on this car.

It was taken to the RestoShop in 2017 to begin paint, body work and assembly. Originally the idea was to put on Turbo flares, but the panels were in such fine shape, they decided to keep them stock. The car retains it’s original color, Amazon Green.

This car has been through a comprehensive restoration and has cover just over 4000 miles since it’s completion in 2018. The owner is parting with it to make space for their next project!.
