THE MODEL
The 1962 Chevy Impala is the third generation of the Impala model. Several engine options were available, with the largest one being the 409 cubic inch 6.7l V8 with 380 hp. The largest engine was available only with a 4-speed manual transmission. The Beach Boys produced a hit single, "409", referring to this model, which became an iconic song for these cars. New styling cues on the Sport Coupes include the "Convertible roof" styling. A large and luxurious interior featured split bench seats. It also featured a pillarless coupe, with no B pillar. This resulted in a completely open feeling with the front and rear side windows rolled down.
THIS CAR
This 1962 Chevy Impala is immaculate, a decade old full restoration still shows extremely fresh. The replacement 409 engine offers huge amounts of torque and horsepower. More information coming soon.
