THE MODEL

The 1961 Dodge Power Wagon represents an iconic era in American automotive history, epitomizing rugged durability and raw power. Built on a robust chassis designed for heavy-duty work, it was a favorite among ranchers, utility companies, and off-road enthusiasts alike. Equipped with a formidable Flathead 6 cylinder engine, it boasted impressive towing capabilities and excelled in traversing rough terrain with its four-wheel-drive system. Its timeless design, characterized by a bold grille and muscular body lines, continues to evoke a sense of nostalgia and admiration among collectors and enthusiasts. The 1961 Dodge Power Wagon remains a testament to the ingenuity and craftsmanship of a bygone era, leaving an indelible mark on the legacy of American trucks.

THE WAGON

This Power Wagon was first purchased by the Bolinas, California Fire Department from Van Pelt & Marchetti on 1/26/61 for $11,709.80.  It accrued only 6800 miles during it's life of service and was retired in 1998, finding it's way to a second owner in San Jose who was going to restore it.

Fast forward to 2017 and our client purchased the Wagon and summarily completed a no-holds-barred 100% restoration over the next 18 months.  It has cover just 400 miles since it's restoration (with a sympathetic nod to it's fire fighting roots) and has won many awards.  This Power Wagon is simply stunning!
