THE MODEL
The 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider is a quintessential example of Alfa Romeo’s dedication to blending elegance with performance. For seasoned Alfisti, the Spider represents the pinnacle of mid-century Italian design, crafted by Pininfarina with unmistakable charm and finesse. Beneath its flowing curves lies a rev-happy 1.3-liter twin-cam inline-four engine, delivering an exhilarating driving experience that embodies the brand’s spirited DNA. Its nimble handling, lightweight chassis, and perfectly balanced proportions make it a joy on winding roads, while the interior offers a minimalist yet driver-focused environment. For those familiar with Alfa’s storied history, the Giulietta Spider stands as a testament to the marque’s legacy, offering an authentic connection to the golden era of Italian motoring, making it a must-have for a true Alfa aficionado.
THE CAR
Local Alfisti know this car and the owner very well. We have Bay Area ownership history from the mid-80's onwards. Conrad Stevenson worked on this car for the better part of 3 decades. Many upgrades have been added during that time.
The current owner purchased 30 years ago and turned this into an 'Abnormale' by having a larger 1750 engine with Euro cams installed in 2011 by Bruce Metras. Dual Weber's and a 5-speed make this one of the fastest, best driving Giulietta's around.
During COVID the owner treated the car to a fresh respray. It has been recently serviced and we have a huge stack of invoices. If you want one of the best driving Giulietta's out there, you should have a close look at this car!
