THE MODEL
The famous Tri-Five Chevy models. From the 150 - to the Bel Air, they are some of the most famous American cars made. Encompassing the zeitgeist of the 1950's, the Chevy's built between 1955-57 were pure Americana. Made in everything from a 2-door to a station wagon, the big V8's they offered captured the hearts of the every 'hot rodder'.
THIS CAR
This 1956 Chevy started out as a humble Chevy 150 built in Oakland, CA. It is a very different car from the one that rolled out of the line 66 years ago. This car was owned in Visalia, CA for most of it's life. It was sold and moved to Texas, before the current owner purchased it and brought it back to Northern California.
This Chevy is now powered by a 350 V8 with Hydraulic Roller Rockers a Holly Fuel Injection system and a new aluminum radiator with additional fans. It has a 7R4 4-speed automatic and a 410 positronic rear end. Other improvements include: New Hankook tires 15" rear, 14" front, power disc brakes, power steering and a tilt-steering column, new shocks, and AC.
This car has tons of torque and can stop as quickly as it can leave the line. Drive it and enjoy it as is or take it on it's next journey as your hot rod!
