1988 BMW E30 M3

THE MODEL

The original BMW M3 (E30) was built for homologation purposes to qualify for DTM (German Touring Car) racing.  It was the start of the legendary M3 line for BMW that continues today.  The S14 engine was a tour de force based upon the S38 6-cylinder engine and had a redline of 7250rpm.  Only 5300 E30 M3's were imported to the US during it's production run.

The E30 M3 won the 24 Hours Nurburgring FIVE times and the Spa 24 Hours FOUR times!

THIS CAR

This particular E30 M3 came from a large Arizona collection.  Already in very good shape, the previous owner had a window out respray in it's original gorgeous Lachssilber Metallic along with a full engine rebuild less than 3000 miles ago.  Further restoration work included replacing most of the rest of the parts in the engine bay, a recovering of the seats in proper BMW leather.  Literally no expense was spared on this car during the previous owners time with restoration/re-freshening bills totaling more than the value of the car at the time.

With only 80,900 miles, zero rust and completely clean from head to toe, this is the early E30 M3 you should be looking for.  Very original, with just a few tasteful carbon fiber accents like the kidney grill, front chin spoiler and rear lip, this E30 is ready to be driven and shown.  Suspension modifications include:

  • Ground Control coil overs

  • Koni Yellow 2-turns

  • Ground Control camber kit

  • Evolution offset control bushings

A recent PPI had the owner of Bavarian Performance in Santa Rosa saying this is cosmetically and mechanically the cleanest E30 M3 in 40+ years of servicing BMWs!
