THE MODEL

 

The SL line started with the famous 300SL Gullwing and Roadster along with their little brother the 190 and continues to today.  The SL designation stands for 'Super Leicht".  The R230 line began in 2001 ranging from the 280 up to the 65 AMG. The designo launch edition was an exclusive package offered with a special paint color, designo trim package, DVD navigation and more.  ​

THIS CAR

 

This particular SL500 designo launch edition is a lifetime CA car. It features larger aftermarket wheels and tires.  A set of original AMG wheels can also accompany the car.  Lightly used with just over 104k miles on the ODO.  The CarFax shows regular service with a few minor parking damage on the front and rear bumper.  All of those have been taken care of and you cannot see any signs of those minor indiscretions on the car now.

This car presents extremely well and the current owner has spent his ownership time fixing any small item that might be needed on the car as well as installing a factory 6-disc CD changer and obtaining the extra set of AMG wheels.  The car currently performs well and all items function as they should.
