THE MODEL

Bimota.  BI-MO-TA Valerio Bianchi, Giussppe Morri & the famous Massimo Tamburini, created the small Italian bike manufacturer producing both racing and road bikes.  Tamburini was of course known for working with several Italian motorcycle manufacturers, creating some of the most seminal models including the Ducati 916 and the MV Agusta F4.  Low production bikes that are mostly hand-built, the YB8 shares the same design ethos as many of the famous Italian car manufacturers.  Create something lightweight, beautiful and fast.  Utilizing the Yamaha 1002cc Exup 4-cylinder engine, these bikes produce an astonishing 149hp for it's time.

This particular bike has under 15k miles and was purchased by the current collector 25 years ago with 5600 miles on the clock.  The bike has been well cared for, as evidence by the large stack of included service receipts.  If you are looking for a stunning crown jewel to any bike collection, this Bimota should garner serious consideration!
