THE MODEL
The 1948 Chrysler Town & Country Convertible is a rare and elegant symbol of postwar American luxury. With its distinctive blend of wood and steel, the car featured stunning "woody" styling, characterized by rich mahogany and ash framing that contrasted beautifully with the smooth, flowing lines of its steel body.
Under the hood, it was powered by either a 4.1L inline 6 or a more powerful 5.3L inline 8 cylinder engine, delivering smooth and powerful performance that complemented its luxurious ride. The convertible top added to its allure, offering open-air driving with classic refinement. Inside, the interior boasted fine materials and craftsmanship, making it a prestigious choice for those seeking both style and comfort. As one of the last "woodie" luxury cars produced, the 1948 Lincoln Town & Country Convertible is a true collector's gem, representing the height of postwar automotive design.
