2004 PORSCHE 911 TARGA

THE MODEL

The 911 saw a major change in the 996 model, in late 1997 Porsche introduced its first water cooled engine, a 3.2l version of it's venerable flat-six.  Designed by Pinky Lai, it was a complete redesign from the previous model and brought the 911 into the 'modern' sports car era.  The 996 received more updating in 2002 with a larger 3.6l engine and the introduction of the Targa, a full glass retractable roof.

THIS CAR

A late 996 model, this 2004 was the pinnacle of the model line, with many enhancements over the early editions of the 996.

This car is a lifetime California car, having been built on May 1st 2004 and delivered to Stevens Creek Porsche on June 23rd, 2004.  The first owner was a short lease, the car was then purchased a friend of the current owner who bought the car in 2013.  It has been very well taken care of all it's life and now shows just over 48.5k miles on the ODO.  It has a clean carfax and had a 30k service done in 2015.  The oil was just changed again a few months ago and there was no sign of metal in the oil filter.

This 996 came with a 5-speed Tiptronic transaxle, heated front seats, 18" light alloy Carrera Wheels (now painted white), colored wheel crest caps, a BOSE high-end sound package and is finished in Carrera White with a lovely Savanna Beige interior.  This car needs nothing and is ready to be enjoyed!
